Television presenter and weddings and function organiser, Peter Kelly (aka Franc) has purchased the historic Mercy Convent in Rosscarbery.
Mr Kelly took to social media earlier this week to announce the news.
"Myself and my wife Eadaoin are delighted to have purchased this lovely convent on the Haven Coast in Rosscarbery," he wrote under a picture of the luxury property.
"We are very excited and looking forward to future plans," the Say Yes to the Dress Ireland presenter continued.
The history of the property located along the Wild Atlantic Way dates back to 1894 when Reverend William Fitzgerald the Bishop of Ross and Reverend Peter Hill of Rosscarbery introduced a small community of Mercy Sisters to Rosscarbery to begin teaching young girls.
According to the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, work began on the foundations for this convent in August 1894, with neither an architect nor contractor employed.
Instead, the designs were drawn by Mother M. De Sales Dooner and the work was carried out by local workmen.
Reportedly, the convent cost a total of £4,500 to complete.
