A man is due to appear in court following a hit and run collision in Mallow on Tuesday.
The car collided with a tree and then a lamp post.
The driver was brought to Fermoy Garda Station for a breath test which confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
In a Facebook post, Gardaí said the breath test came back "extremely high" and included a picture which showed that the man had 132 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
He has since been charged with a court appearance to follow.
