51 people waiting for beds at Cork hospitals

Fifty-one admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals in Cork today, with Cork University Hospital the busiest in the country.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s (INMO) Trolley Watch, 36 people are waiting for beds at the emergency department at Cork University Hospital.

Fifteen people are waiting for beds at the Mercy University Hospital.

Nationally, 163 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning.

A total of 145 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 18 are in wards.
