Cork City Council is warning that there is a risk of tidal flooding on some roads and parking areas in the city this evening during high astronomical Spring tides.
The areas which could be affected include South Terrace, Morrison’s Quay, Fr. Matthew Quay, Trinity Bridge, Union Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Frenche’s Quay, Crosses Green, Lavitt’s Quay, Kyrl’s Quay.
High tide is expected at 7.33pm this evening.
There had been concerns over tidal flooding on the roads last night, but this receded.
There has however been low-level pooling along the low-lying quays in the City Centre.
Further updates on the specific situation regarding tidal flooding tonight will be issued this morning by the council.
