Forty admitted patients are waiting for beds at Cork hospitals this morning.
According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), 27 people are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital (CUH) and 13 people are waiting for beds at the Mercy University Hospital (MUH).
All of the admitted patients are waiting within the emergency departments at the two hospitals.
Nationally, 186 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch, with 145 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 41 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.
University Hospital Limerick is worst affected with 53 admitted patients waiting for beds at the facility.
