More than 50 admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals in Cork this morning.
According to the latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), more people are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital than at any other hospital in the country.
Forty-five people are waiting for beds at the hospital’s emergency department today.
Elsewhere in Cork, seven admitted patients are waiting for beds at the Mercy University Hospital.
Nationally, 215 admitted patients are waiting for beds today according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.
Of these patients, 194 are waiting in emergency departments, while 21 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.
