FOLLOWING its hugely successful inaugural year in 2019, Cork Podcast Festival returns to the city next month.

The three-day event features an eclectic line-up of some of the very best Irish podcasting talent and takes place from October 9-11.

The stellar lineup includes the Irish History Podcast, hosted by historian Fin Dwyer, The Two Norries Podcast hosted by northside natives James Leonard and Timmy Long, Rebel Matters, presented by Ainle Ó Cairealláin as well as Ask Audrey and the Mick Clifford Podcast with guest John Spillane.

All events this year will take place in The Kino on Washington Street.

Speaking to The Echo Joe Kelly of The Kino said that many Dublin podcasters were due to travel down to Cork to perform, but with the restrictions in the capital, this is no longer possible.

Despite this, he says the venue has managed to pull together "a nice bill of acts" for Leesiders to enjoy.
