A motorist who was put off the roads for four years was caught driving by Gardaí outside a Garda Station in Cork.
The person in question was observed pulling up outside Gurranabraher Garda Station before coming into the station to request a driving licence renewal form.
When Gardaí checked the system, they discovered the driver had been disqualified from driving for four years.
The car they were driving also had no valid NCT and was not insured.
"Gardaí in Gurranabraher observed a car turn suddenly into the Garda Station.
"The driver then came into the public office of the station requesting a driving licence renewal form.
"A quick check on the system showed that the driver was disqualified from driving for four years," Gardaí said in a statement posted on their official Facebook page yesterday.
"The car had no insurance and the NCT was expired since January.
"Driver arrested and later left the station with two charge sheets, a court date but no driving licence renewal form," they continued.
