Update: No serious injuries as a result of house fire near Inniscarra

Update 1pm: No serious injuries have occurred as a result of the house fire in Berrings near Inniscarra, a spokesperson for Cork City Fire Brigade confirmed to The Echo.

One lady did take a minor fall, but was assessed at the scene and did not require any further care. 

Units are still at the scene of the incident. 

Earlier: Fire services are currently at the scene of a serious house fire in Berrings, near Inniscarra.

The alarm was raised at around 8am this morning.

Units from Anglesea Street, Ballyvolane, Ballincollig and Macroom are all in attendance.

Cork City Fire Brigade took to social media this morning, reminding the public to phone 999/112 immediately in the event of an emergency.

"We have several crews dealing with a well-developed house fire in the Inniscarra area.

"In an emergency call 999/112 immediately," they said.
