1,864 Cork homes currently without power

A total of 1,864 homes have been affected by a power outage in the Fermoy area this evening.

The outage was first reported shortly after 5pm this evening and is due to be restored at 8.45pm this evening.

ESB Networks has apologised for the loss of supply and is currently working to repair a fault affecting the area.

Crews are currently on site investigating the cause of the outage and working on restoring power. 

A spokesperson for ESB told The Echo: "ESB Networks can confirm that almost 1,900 homes, farms and businesses are without power in the Fermoy area since 5.05pm."

"All impacted customers are advised to keep track of www.powercheck.ie for a live update of estimated restoration times. ESB Networks would like to apologise to all customers impacted by this outage," the spokesperson said.
