The two men arrested in relation to the seizure of €218,000 of suspected drugs and cash in counties Cork and Dublin on October 27 and 28 have since been charged.
They are both due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning, October 30 at 10.30am.
€30,000 in cash was seized in east Cork earlier this week, along with an estimated €100,000 of suspected cannabis herb.
The seizure was made on October 27 in Castlemartyr as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Cork.
Gardaí attached to the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit witnessed what is believed to be a drugs transaction outside a house on Elm Grove in Castlemartyr.
As a result, they searched a car and the property, leading to the seizures of the cash and suspected drugs.
The drugs were to be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Gardaí since seized a further €88,000 in cash following a search of a house in Dublin.
As part of the original investigation into the seizure of €130,000 of suspected cannabis herb and cash in Castlemartyr, Gardaí from Tallaght executed a search warrant at a house in the Tallaght area at around 8.30pm on October 28.
During the course of the search Gardaí seized €88,000 of cash and a quantity of fireworks.
