Earlier this week, Gardaí in Cork discovered a disqualified driver caught driving and arrested the motorist who was also caught breaking multiple other laws.

The driver failed to stop for Gardaí on the county bounds between Cork and Kerry and was later observed by the Garda Armed Support unit driving dangerously at high speed coming into Cork city.

The person in question again failed to stop for Gardaí before crashing into a lamp post in Ballincollig.

"The driver was arrested by Gurranabraher Gardaí on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, numerous counts of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, no insurance, and to top it off they had a warrant for their arrest," Gardaí said in a statement posted to social media.

"The driver was brought before Cork District Court and will be receiving a number of summons," Gardaí continued.
