A man has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at Inishmore in Ballincollig this morning.

A man has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at Innishmore in Ballincollig this morning.

The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injures following the incident which occurred shortly after 11am.

The driver of the car was uninjured, Gardaí have stated.

Gardaí remain at the scene and local diversions are currently in place.
