Cork city hotel closes for short period after two staff members test positive for Covid-19

The Kingsley Hotel.

A Cork city hotel has announced that it is to close for a short period of time after two of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

The Kingsley Hotel on Carrigrohane Road is working with the HSE and is following all appropriate best practice protocols.

General Manager of the hotel, Fergal Harte, said that he has independently taken the decision to close the hotel today for a “short period of time” as a precautionary measure.

“We would like to wish the team members concerned a full and speedy recovery. We would also like to thank our guests and members for their support and understanding at this time.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Kingsley very soon,” he said.

The hotel’s reservation team will be in contact with those who have a reservation with the hotel over the coming days.
