An estimated 3,000 homes and businesses have been impacted by a burst water main in the Carrigaline area this evening.
Irish Water and Cork County Council are working to repair the burst water main on the Ballea Road in Carrigaline which is currently affecting the water supply to both homes and businesses in the Carrigaline area.
Repairs are currently underway to restore the water supply to those in the affected area immediately.
3,000 homes and business are now affected by the issues, with an estimated total of 5,000 impacted earlier in the evening.
According to Irish Water, the repairs will be completed tonight, but it may be tomorrow before the water supply is restored.
Irish Water said that they understand the inconvenience caused and thanks customers for their patience.
