The funeral of the third man, Mark O'Sullivan, who died on a family farm in the Kanturk area this week takes place this afternoon.
Yesterday, the funeral of his father Tadg and brother Diarmuid took place.
The three men died on Monday in what was understood to be a murder-suicide caused by a dispute over an inheritance.
At the funeral of the two men yesterday Fr Bluitt, the parish priest of Kanturk, said that the community of Kanturk has been enveloped in darkness.
“We join with Bishop Crean in offering our deepest sympathies to Anne and to the relatives of and to the extended O’Sullivan family.”
Anne O’Sullivan, mother of Diarmuid and Mark, was among mourners at the funeral.
Fr Bluitt told mourners gathered at St Mary’s Church in Castlemagner that there are “no answers” to the tragic events that unfolded earlier this week.
“Grief is never an easy burden to bear and never more so when it comes to us in what can only be described as an untimely, shocking, and tragic way,” he said. “We gather in such grief today, carrying a burden that not only seems to be, but in fact is, overwhelming.
Mark O'Sullivan’s funeral will take place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kanturk today. The service is to be live-streamed.
His body was discovered in the family home, while Diarmuid was found dead alongside his father Tadg in a field 500m away from the family home.
