An eight-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a collision on the Pouladuff Road.

The collision occurred this afternoon and involved the young boy, who was a pedestrian, and a car.

The boy was taken to Cork University Hospital following the road traffic collision.

His injuries have been described as being non-life-threatening.

Gardaí have said that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
