The festival transformed Trabolgan Holiday Village into a hive of activity earlier this year.

It will return to its East Cork home from May 10 to 12, with organisers confirming that more than 50% of tickets have already been sold.

It Takes A Village is a unique Irish festival experience set to the landscape in the idyllic and lush surroundings of Trabolgan looking out over the sea. The festival offers 150 self-catering houses and apartments, plus 35 fully-serviced campervan sites. No camping in muddy fields here! Check into your cosy village home and enjoy a clean bed, warm showers, and private bathrooms, for the weekend.

Also announced for next year's festival are experimental producer Herbert, jazz hip hop group the Herbaliser, post-punks Snapped Ankles and Grammy award winner Don Letts.

A host of Irish talent, including Lisa O'Neill, New Jackson, Meltybrains?, Katie Kim, Pillow Queens, Colm K, Bantum, Ships, AE Mak and Happyalone are also included on the bill, as are the likes of Kevin Barry, Lisa McInerney, Cormac Lally, Lords of Strut, Eddie Kay, Candy Warhol and more.

One of the festival organisers Joe Kelly of The Good Room said: “It’s great to be coming back for the second year of ‘It Takes a Village’. This year we have moved to May so hopefully the weather will be as beautiful as the site. We are continuing with our broad palette of music with everything from funk to folk, punk to party, synchronised swimming, and even birds of prey. We also have a range of performance pieces, poets, writers, and much more still to be announced going forward. It’s going to be only massive.”

Tickets are on sale now from ittakesavillage.fm, with a deposit system in place so you can reserve your spot today and pay later.
