Kell,

We’ve made it to Friday. We’ve basically been holding this company together for the week, me on the customer services side and you with the accounts. A team effort, I like to think! I know you’ve only just sat down. Nice blouse btw, very you. Anyway, guess what you’ll be doing tonight! Dave and I got you a birthday present of tickets to see The Script tonight at Live at the Marquee, so straight after work we’re going back to your place to get ready and we’re getting changed and grabbing Mateo.

I know you two have been getting along really well so I messaged him on Facebook and he’s coming too! I know life has thrown you a bit of a curve ball yesterday so I hope this will cheer you up a bit.

Can we go to The Rocket Man for lunch? Their salads are divine and I’m inspired by how healthy you’ve been eating recently.

PS. Jerry says hi and that he just bought four sheep.

Love you, Sandra xx

Sand,

You have got to be joking. The Script are my all time favourites! This is the best birthday present I could have asked for.

I’m going to call James and tell him we can change our plans for tonight. This is absolute top priority. Me, you, and Mateo. The absolute dream team.

You’re so good. I’ve been terribly worried about mam but she’s in the very early stages now and we’re organising for a carer to come to live with her because it’ll be hard to look after herself in the time being, before I can tie up my loose ends in town and move back to her.

I feel strange having someone who isn’t family looking after her all the time. Obviously she needs a proper carer but it’ll be better if I’m around more because, apparently with dementia, it only gets worse over time.

Naomi’s almost sure she’ll take over my lease and look after Mateo for me (the jealousy is killing me but I’m glad he’ll be in the capable hands of someone who can bake so well).

James has been very good about mam and came over last night to cook for me. Am I his girlfriend? I don’t know but it feels like I’ve kind of just fallen into being his girlfriend even though he hasn’t asked yet. Mateo said he thinks James will ask in the next week or two. Mateo likes to raise my confidence extremely high and then tear it down all of a sudden, it’s such a whirlwind friendship but I love him.

Anyway, right now I’m more concerned about mam and have a good reason not to be prioritising a man in my life.

Seán has been walking around this floor more and more recently, I don’t know if you noticed. I thought it was kind of weird and put it down to him just being him over the top as usual. But Naomi said he keeps coming up to her at reception and flirting with her.

At first, she thought he was just coming up to her for the snacks but she said he’s been up with her several times every day this week, even the days when she didn’t bring snacks because she managed to come in on time. She’s started dreading leaving work last (which is part of her job) because he’s been lingering once everyone else has left.

This better not be another situation like with that girl from Tipp’. Naomi’s so casual about it but I’m going to stay a little late this evening so she won’t be left alone with Seán when she’s closing up. Not taking any chances, she’s one of us now.

Have a great weekend, if you leave before me. Send pictures if you do anything fun!

Happy weekend,

Wifey
