THEY grew up just a road apart in Ballyphehane, now Carolyn O’Connor and Cian O’Brien are on a new path, having become Mr and Mrs.
Cian said: “Myself and Carolyn met when we were just 14 and have been together ever since we had the same circle of friends.
“I proposed to Carolyn on Christmas Day 2016, 12 years after we got together. Recently, we bought our first home together, also in the Ballyphehane area, before the wedding.”
The wedding ceremony took place in their local parish church, at the Church of Assumption, Ballyphehane, on May 4.
The bride looked stunning in her dress purchased from the Moderne Bridal, where she also sourced the bridesmaid dresses. The suits were purchased in Suit Distributors.
The bridal party included three bridesmaids and three groomsmen, one flower girl and two pageboys.
Hair was done by the amazing Hayley in 3Degrees. Make-up was by Jennifer Keating and Shannon O’Connor. The bride’s and bridesmaids’ earrings were from Azure jewellery. Flowere were by Florist4u.
The reception was hosted in the wonderful Radisson Blu in Little Island and the bridal couple described it as an “amazing venue” where staff went above and beyond, and they couldn’t thank them enough.
Entertaining guests on the night were J90 who the couple described as “fantastic”.
As to the most memorable moment of their special day?
Cian said: “Becoming husband and wife. The entire day was memorable, especially everyone who came to the wedding.”
Pictures on the day were taken by Eddie Hennessy, while memories were also captured by videographer Ian from Story Begins.
