CORK Chamber has welcomed global software company HealthKit to the city after it was announced the healthcare specialists would set up a European headquarters here.
Bill O’Connell, president of Cork Chamber, said he was “delighted to see a company of such international calibre” choose Cork for its new European HQ.
“As a global software company specialising in healthcare, HealthKit sits perfectly with Cork’s well-documented strengths in tech and our growing reputation as a location of choice for innovative healthcare providers,” he said.
“Home to the largest university teaching hospital in Ireland, household names in pharma and private healthcare, the Health Innovation Hub at UCC and the incubation centre Rubicon at CIT, Cork has seen a growing number of exciting new players in the health industry emerge with ambitious growth plans such as OrthoXel, EireChrom, AnaBio and PMD Solutions.
”With a global ageing population, healthcare is an industry which is primed for strong future growth. We are confident that HealthKit will successfully grow its European customer base from its new Cork HQ, where they will be in excellent company and will benefit from having access to some of the best technical talent available in the world.”
