REPRESENTATIVES from Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club receiving a cheque for €4,537.45 from Ryan’s SuperValu, Togher, proceeds from their bucket collection over the Christmas period and thanks to the generosity of all their customers and staff.

“Liam and Diane Ryan of Ryan’s SuperValu Stores, in particular Togher and manager Kevin Morgan have been invaluable as our patron since 2014 raising approximately €33,000 to date.

“This money has allowed us to do what we do best, put smiles on the faces of sick and deserving children.

“Every year the Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club bring a group of around 82, including sick and deserving children, carers and medical staff to Disneyland, Paris. Allowing them to create magical and fun memories to last a lifetime.

“We create a Winter Wonderland at Fota House, where we bring around 250 children to meet Santa. Vintage cars provided with a Garda escort transport all to Fota House for a magical day,” said John Looney, chairperson Cork Cith Hospitals Children’s Club.

“Santa has lots of helpers which allows these children and their families a special sitting with Santa, catering to all the needs and requirements of each child attending.

“On many occasions this is the first visit these children have with Santa.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely Liam and Diana Ryan, Kevin Morgan, Jason O Callaghan, Haley Murphy from HR and all the staff and customers in Togher for their efforts in helping us to do this,” concluded John.
